CHROME Imaging to integrate cineSpace™ with MATRIX Compositing™

cineSpace™ is an industry-standard color management system that enables facilities to ensure that all their monitors and displays match each other for a specific film stock or video standard.

"We are pleased to be working with CHROME Imaging to deliver solutions that provide an enhanced user experience whilst maintaining accurate calibration," says Clint Walker, CEO of Rising Sun Research. "Our cineSpace™ colour management suite has always been a highly adaptable system that works effectively in a wide variety of pipelines. Integrating this technology more closely within other industry-leading tools is a natural extension to this idea, with the result being streamlined workflows without sacrificing accuracy and flexibility."

"Color management is a key-component when working with not only film but video as well," says CHROME Imaging CEO Dan Tatut. "We want to offer MATRIX users the best tools that guarantee them perfect and accurate color display and matching. The advantage of this partnership is the combination of top-level technologies in image processing, color management and cinematographic post-production workflows."

Initially, the collaboration will entail cineSpace's ability to export MATRIX-compatible XML-based 3D LUTs. For the next version release, the complete color management engine will be integrated within MATRIX through a dedicated module, allowing a much more efficient and time-saving workflow.
